Hello all! I am new to this forum. I live just a block and a half south of the monument and have been doing alot of research as of late, into the BHW in general, and the Battle of Sycamore Creek in particular. The one thing that I have come across that really draws me in is a newspaper article I found on the fulton county IL historical society website. It is from the late 1980's and talks about two gentlemen from the Stillman area who thought they had Found the grave site of Bird W. Ellis. The one gentlemen has passed away and I am in the process of locating the second. The part that bothers me, is that while this article talks about landmarks where it might be, and how they have several ideas and plans, I can not find another article saying that they found anything, or even looked. I was wondering if any of you folks knew of anything, or could point me in the right direction. Thank you very much in advance and I look forward to hearing from you.

Please let me know any update on this topic. Does anyone read this? Bird Ellis was reportedly buried in section 24. Michael Berns
