Folks, after posting earliier under a different discussion thread concerning a Samuel Cummings who served in Capt. Nowlind's (Nolen, Nowlen) Company of the 4th Regiment of the Ill Volunteers in the Black Hawk War, I ran into this info via Google that shows a rather nice roster of Capt. Nowlind's Company from Macoupin Co. Ill. This info came from the Ill. State Archives:
