Why doesn't the Battle Map match current park?

I look at the map showing battle movements and I notice the bend opens to the north.  I look at the Memorial park map and see that the bend opens to the east.  Is the Blackhawk Memorial Park on the right spot?  Did the river change direction?  Is the battle map accurate?

Witch lake is bloody lake, all maps are not the same. DNR maps show a lake that is not on park property

I was wondering the same thing about the bloody Lake. Is the real bloody Lake on private property now and who owns the property so we can take and walk there and look at the bloody Lake
