Just had the pleasure of dealing with Mr. Tim Bender of T.P. and H. Hats. See his wares at www.benderhats.com/I knew well Tim's reputation from the world of Civil War reenacting, but was uncertain of how he might react to a special project for an 1830s style chapeau. As it turned out, Tim was eager to take on the project of replicating an 1830s style topper, known in period parlance as a Round Hat. His is very knowledgable about hat making, and spent time on the phone with me ensuring he understood my intentions for the project. In about two weeks, I had my hat! I have added a link to Tim's updated website. I am confident you will enjoy the same level of service and satisfaction in filling any hat needs you might have! Bob.

I noticed on the website it says " Each hat is made of 100% fur felt..." I was wondering what kind of fur are they made of?

Great question, Mike. The hat texture is quite good, so I suspect rabbit. That's only a guess though. I will try to find out for you. Bob.
