Tennessee Mntd. Volunteers,
I wanted to thank all of you for coming down to participate in and support A169. You were all great guys and it was nice to finally put faces with people I've been corresponding with over the last year.
I apologize for the weather but that was the only thing(well one of the only things) that I couldn't control. I hope you all had a grand time and if we ever do something like this again I'll certainly let you know.
Thank you all again for making the trip down, I hope it was everything you expected it to be and then some!
Take care and keep in touch and "Remember the Alamo!"
Scott McMahon aka. Col. W. B. Travis
PS-thank you for the presentation of the cap, I'll remember you fellows everytime I wear it! And do send me your honest evaluation of the event off list if you would...

Our hats and coonskin caps off to Scott and his band of hard-working Rangers for an outstanding event: commemorating the 169 anniversary of the siege of the Alamo on the actual movie set of the "Alamo" movie released in April, 2004! You have built a store of very fond memories in this old warrior and inone still-excited new volunteer which promise to last a lifetime. ;D Thanks for a very difficult job VERY WELL DONE! Gratefully yours, "Bexar" Bob & Andrew "the Scalper" Braun, GGT. P.S.-- a few of us Tennesseeans were concerned Friday when there was no rain. Desipe many assurances of coming precipitation, we had resolved to "pull out" unless we were subjected to a real "Hill Region" soaker. Happily, we got our wish... and we were again a very contented lot! P. P. S. We are all looking forward to Dr. Hardin's "Volume 2" of the Alamo history-- Col. Travis' ascendancy to the new legislature of Texas and future governorship, and Col. Crockett's "empressario" venture along the Red River-- all in the wake of Santa Anna's DEFEAT at the Alamo! BB, GTT.
