Gehan, Francis Higginbotham, Alexander Hill, Surgeon Allen Hood, John Jenkins, Thomas Kirkpatrick, R. H. I cannot confirm the following men from your list: Gehan, Francis Bunts, Samuel T. The rest were "present" as best as I can determine. A discussion on the men present at Bloody Lake will be presented in my little book of the same name, which I hope will be out in September. Regards, Bob.

Bob,
Interesting observation. I surmised from the start that Francis Gehon did not participate and actually just transcribed Dodge's preliminary battle report and sent to Captain Sherman and possibly other Captains. His letter to Sherman could mislead readers and scholars if taken on face value.
Samuel T. Bunts... I agree, can not define his presence at the battle site.
Dodge's son Henry L. is a puzzle to me so will wait to read your booklet on placing him at Horse Shoe Bend.
Why did I float a list of names on the board? I am going through an excersise of naming militia that received the Kickapoo first volley, horse handlers, sentinels and late arrivals to the fracas.
Thanks for your input.
