"The men in Rountree's company were paid for one month's service (May 17 to June 17, 1832) under him as captain, and for one month's service (June 17 to July 17) under Captain Dickson."
Rountree had been injured, so that Captain Dixon took his command in a scouting movement on July 20 or 21.
