It is clear that the Kickapoo Tribal members in Black Hawk's Band suffered a disproportional amount of casualties in the BHW. (In this analysis I am excluding them as a casualty number in the battle of Pectaconica River as the record is equivocal.)
Besides the Kickapoo being at the wrong place at the wrong time, are there theories that could explain their high casualties?
