How amusing that you think I actually care how many goofy stars I have next to my profile. No, I want to get my picture up there instead. Or maybe a picture of Chris Farley in his costume from that awful Lewis & Clark movie he made with that guy from "Friends." I would look quite dashing in a coonskin cap.
Seriousl, the only problem I have with the new board (other than the pop-up ads... but hey, you gotta pay the bills somehow) is that it loads extremely slowl, sop slowly that on several occasions I have just given up and logged off without waiting for the page to load.

 Hmm Rusty I'm sorry to hear the page loads so slowly for you. What connection speed do you have? Do you have problems loading other web pages? Let me know, maybe I can help. As far as stars go you are already a big star in my book 8)

I'm blaming Ameritech. I have an older computer at home (333mhz/win98) with a 56K modem but the connection speed is usually no faster than 26K or so. We have DSL at work and I would like to get it at home but I don't think I'm close enough to a switching center.
If I sent you a scan of my headshot, could you add it to my profile? I'mthinking of taking the photo Diane took of Bob and I at New Salem last year and using that.

Rusty - sure, send me a pic and I can link it to your profile. I empathize with your connection speed problems. My only option for a long time was ISDN which is expensive and only went up to 112K. Now I'm lucky enough to get DSL at home and work and I'm spoiled by it. However - I strongly advise anyone out there considering Ameritech DSL - DON'T! I went through many months of problems and hassles and 10 hours on the phone trying to fix problems. |

Carter Greg - sure, if you send me an image I can set it up so it appears in your posts - but I can only do that if you are registered. Once you've done that shoot me an image via e-mail. Take a look at Bob Braun's posts - I have added a pic of him too now. |

Thanks Mike, I am so excited about having my picture up here I am close to bursting into a line of genuine buckskinner gibberish! Anyway, I don't know if this matters for the stars thing, but I had 11 posts on the old board. I will get you a picture when I have my militia uniform completed. Thanks again.
