Does there exist a list of regular army soldiers who served in the Black Hawk war? Or of soldiers who died in the war?
At the moment I'm looking for information on a Franklin Mills of Seneca Falls, New York, whose widow remarried and moved to my part of Michigan. I presume he was in the regular army. I checked volume I of Whitney just in case he was someone who had somehow found his way to Illinois.
