Most BHW strongpoints are obscure objects of days gone by except for some historical markers, a State of Illinois Historical Site and the recognition of a few modern historians and members of a couple BHW message boards.
I would nominate the "blockhouse" that was erected near Fort Dodge in the Michigan Territory, now called Grant County, Wisconsin, as the strongpoint with the most name citations. Three objects were named for it in Grant County.
1) Blockhouse Creek
2) Blockhouse School
3) Blockhouse Road
I can think of only one other Michigan Territory strongpoint with a public citation... Fort Defiance Road located in present day Lafayette County, Wisconsin.

I am adding another reference to a Michigan Territory strongpoint... FORT DEFIANCE SCHOOL. This small, one-room country school was located near the Fort Defiance historical marker on HWY 23 between Darlington and Mineral Point Wisconsin.
A picture of this school can be viewed in a book FACES & PLACES OF SOUTHWEST WISCONSIN, page 63. Published by the Shopping News, Platteville, Wisconsin

To add to Larry's list, I believe that "Fort Defiance Road" exists as well. Supposedly this road runs north of the property on which Fort Defiance rose in 1832.
Best to you,
Bob.

References to the blockhouse that was near Fort Dodge in the Michigan Territory continues to grow.
The 1859 Wisconsin "Blue Book" indicates a Post Office named Blockhouse Mills.
This was a small settlement in Section 6, Smelser Township in Grant County WI.
There was a grist and cob mill on Blockhouse Creek.

This is exciting... it looks like some interesting clues are falling into place...
THANKS! Bob.
