Hi All. New to the site.
I'm trying to locate a specific description or (HOPEFULLY) map that details where this supply depot was from this Black Hawk war. The fort was a fairly important mustering point/supply depot for a brief time, and by all account, located on the south bank/bluff of the river opposite LaSalle. I've talked to a number of local folks and have tried to pin it down (I work at the college where the site is currently) but no one seems to know.
I'm trying to locate a map, specific description, or location of Lt. Albert Johnston's journal figuring that might have something specific. Any thoughts or comments are appreciated!
