It is well known that the General Land Office Survey noted the location of the battle of Wisconsin Heights in their field notes and sketch map. The George S. Parker map collection is on loan to the Wisconsin Historical Society and has been digitized. The collection includes two published maps dated 1835 and 1839 based on the GLO Survey indicating "Battle Ground" at Wisconsin Heights. In addition, two other maps dated 1836 and 1838 indicated the location of the Wisconsin Heights battle ground. A 1855 map indicates "Battle Field" at Bad Ax.
